A highly-compressed block of super-fine activated carbon efficiently removes unwanted contaminants and improves taste. This method of filtration is easy to install, simple to maintain, and has an inex-pensive filter to periodically replace.
Does not remove minerals and trace elements that are essential to good health.
Does not waste water: 100% of filtered water is available for consumption.
Does not use electricity: Requires only water pressure to operate.
Instructions for replacing the Water Filter Cartridge in your
Counter Top Water Dome® – Model #32
Removing Used Filter Cartridge:
- Rest unit on its side, with the base over the left side of the sink.
- Loosen unit base from housing by using the Filter Replacement Tool. Position
the hook end of the tool between the two brass fittings in the base. Steady
the housing with your left hand and carefully pull the Filter Replacement
Tool toward you with your right hand, turning the unit base counterclockwise.
Once loosened, separate the housing from the unit base by turning the housing
counterclockwise (BY HAND) while holding the base.
- Remove used filter cartridge from base by turning counterclockwise. Discard
small white rubber washer.
- Place used filter in a plastic bag and dispose of properly.
Installing New Filter Cartridges:
- Gently wash the inside of the housing unit with Liquid Concentrate, Mellow
Yellow, or a liquid dishwashing detergent. Do not use harsh cleansers, solvents,
ammonia, alcohol or acids to clean the unit. Rinse thoroughly to remove soap
residue.
- Unwrap new filter cartridge and locate the new rubber washer. Hold the base
and put the new white washer in place.
CAUTION: As you are putting the unit back together, avoid damaging large "O" ring. Check to see that it is positioned correctly before screwing base back into housing.
- Carefully align the new filter over the threads and turn clockwise until snug,
but not too tight.
- Hold the housing inverted to keep the O-ring in place. Carefully align the
unit base with the housing threads. Turn the housing counter-clockwise onto
the base until snug, but not too tight. HAND TIGHTEN ONLY. DO NOT USE TOOL
TO TIGHTEN.
- Turn on COLD WATER ONLY. With a slight pull on the Diverter Button, allow
water to run through the filter for approximately 5 minutes as you carefully
check all connections for leaks. Let water run for an additional 20 minutes
to fully activate the filter cartridge. The Water Dome is now ready for use.
